TEENS GLOBALLY:  CREATE A SHORT VIDEO TO EDUCATE, INSPIRE, ACT ON MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS

#teensforwellness is a campaign for you to tell the world how you promote mental wellness at home, at school, and in your community! And what campaign is complete without a challenge?

WE challenge YOU to create videos between 30 seconds and 2 minutes or regular posts along one of the following topics: Education, Inspiration, and Action

  • To educate, we want you to explain a specific mental health issue, wellness strategy, or set the record straight. For example, you can talk about the differences between depression and bipolar. You can correct common misconceptions about eating disorders. You can share information about how to help a friend in need.
  • To inspire, we want you to spread good vibes and positivity. Videos that inspire might include personal affirmations, kind acts you’ve seen or participated in, and mental health success stories.
  • To act, we want you to get out there and promote wellness! We challenge you to share random acts of kindness – place sticky notes or rocks around town with messages of positivity, give flowers to strangers, anything that makes someone smile!

There are a few guidelines to follow when making these videos and/or posts:

  • DO:
    • Be positive!
    • Use appropriate language
    • Cite your sources “according to XY”
    • Keep videos 30 sec – 2 min
    • Include a link to the dream hub in the post description AT https://www.teensdreamcolab.org/dream-hubs/dream-hub-good-health-well-being/
  • Do NOT:
    • Share anything triggering
    • Include copyrighted music or images
    • Mention people by name
